My sanitary towels are made from a top layer of organic cotton jersey (grey fabric) that draws the liquid away, the inner core is organic bamboo fleece velour fabric which is highly absorbent, then a layer of PUL which is a breathable waterproof fabric and then of course pretty cotton fabric on the bottom. These high quality, eco friendly fabrics are anti-bacterial, anti-odour and therefore kind to your skin as well as the environment.
They are secured with a plastic snap.
Washing Instructions - it is best to wash these as soon as you can so stains don't set. Either soak or rinse in cold water to remove soiling. These can then be washed within your normal load. I recommend using a mesh bag, don't add fabric softener as this can affect the absorbency of the pads. Dry naturally, flat if possible so they keep their shape.
* Regular Flow Pads - these have two layers of the inner bamboo core so have two lines of stitching around the outside of the core. They are 26cm long.
* Heavy Flow Pads - these are the same size as the regular flow, but have 3 layers of the inner bamboo core and so have 3 lines of stitching.
* Night-time Pads - these are much larger than the regular pads to allow for you moving during the night. They have two large layers of the inner core and are 28cm long with a wide base.
*Panty Liners - the bamboo inner core on these have a (breathable) waterproof base, so there is one less layer on these to make them even more discrete. They are 22cm long
